Well… I give up!!! DAMN.. hate those words.. but my monkey is screaming and I am outta wine (perhaps one of the reasons I could not find them all!)
It was fun while it lasted.. and really made me realize how easily distracted I can become.. in my searches I must have spent hours just reading new material ;)
It also made me realize how unstructured I am (I just clicked away).. as if that golden egg would be behind every door I clicked on (riches behind every door.. ohh too familar there)… anyways.. off to bed.. and off to buy the Stumble Course when it comes out :) ha!

Social Networking…Work or Obsession?
So, yesterday my baby sis and her hubby came over.
I was on the computer. (go figure)
I was attempting to update all my social networking sites. She came over to take a look at what I was doing and asked the dreaded question… is this work?? Are you making money at this or are you just playing??
Uggggg!!! I HATE that question.
So.. what did I tell her??
Marketing on the internet involves testing, tracking, tweaking, branding, etc…. and in order to do all this and be successful you have to learn, review, study, etc. all the different tactics available.
While Social Media is not new, each day new sites pop up and cover new ground. So, you need to be able and stay up to date with all of it.
Sometimes this research is fun… sometimes it is amusing, sometimes it can be most definately a time sucker. But IMO it is still work… and in some weird way does bring me one step closer to success.
Perhaps without that one extra visitor I would have not had that one extra sale. That one extra sale might have taken me just 15 seconds to make a quick post on someone’s blog, myspace, or twitter, or it might have taken me 4 hours to write a lengthly article and respond to a few comments. Either way.. it all helps and brings me just one step closer, right?
This is not such a difficult concept to understand… but yet when outsiders view what I am actually doing… it can be so misunderstood! grr.
So.. her response to this…
“How does telling everyone on Twitter that you are hanging out listening to 80’s music have anything to do with anything??”
ummmm … I have to question myself on that one too….

Someone here at Dell saw your Twitter entries about the problems you have been having with your Dell, so I wanted to see if there was anything I could do to help out.
I am a customer advocate here at Dell headquarters in Texas. My job is to help out people that have posted about problems with Dell. If you would like my help, or have any questions for me, I’ll be more than happy to help in any way I can.

Well.. if you have read any of my twitter posts lately.. I have been slamming Dell pretty hard…just such a frustrating ordeal. I am SURE that most all of you at some point can relate here with computer issues.
But what really surprises me, is that my twitter account is less than 3 days old.. and it was actually seen by people in which a response was warranted.
I am going to assume Dell has a whole department that searches the net for negative publicity.. but it does give me a small bit of satifaction knowing that perhaps my one little voice was heard.
Anyways.. I will give this “Larry” an email and see what he offers as far as a solution… but let me ask ya all this…. If you had a computer (less than 1 year old) and your hard drive crashed.. completely gone.. poof (I did have 2 so I had a backup, thank god!) and it took 2 weeks to fix and you continued to have issues.. resulting in another 2 weeks of off and on downtime… bascially resulting in a loss of one months worth of wages… (which I literally could have bought the phat toshiba laptop I have been eyeing).. wouldn’t you be PISSED as well??

Hahaha.. its ok.. I am allowed to laugh at myself here…
Anyways.. today I got a twitter account… um.. is it just me.. or does that name just make you wanna go.. huh??? .. (said with one eyebrow raised..)
Anyways.. got the twitter account for this blog. I have two for my other blogs.. but this will be the first time it is all meee baby (or really just me uncensored), ha!
I have a facebook account, stumble account, myspace account, and will start digging deeper into more of the social media scene as time goes on. For my other sites I have also added the blog catalog, mybloglog, techorati, Del.icio.us(another odd name), squidoo, and a few others. It is really uber time consuming to work up a status there on all (but I have a partner with one site.. and she is rockin’).
Right now, I just have a ton of things to catch up on with all my other blogs and sites, and really wondering what I am doing starting this blog… but we will see.
The web just grows so much and moves so quick, things are constantly changing and upgrading it is just amazing.
I wonder sometimes…. if the internet were like traffic in the bay area.. we would be like stuck back with our Apple IIe’s (I know.. I am sooo dating myself here.. but it was cool back then!!) and perhaps with an upgraded decathalon game or something… lol
DOES ANYONE remember that game??
Ok really.. like to do the pole vault you had to type 2 keys.. don’t remember which ones.. but like vb.. so you would bang vbvbvbvbvbv.. to make the little guy run fast.. then hit like the a key or something to make him throw the pole.
I will ALWAYS remember my mother yelling at me (and my sis) to stop banging on the computer… ofcourse my response.. “mom, if you do it quietly you don’t run as fast and lose!” Therefore not my fault those two keys lost their lettering!!
